It's National Poetry month. I have been writing a lot of poetry this month. I have been writing a lot of poetry this year. I'm still hoping to get at least one more book of fiction out into the world, but I will probably be trying to get some more poetry out; too.
I've gotten some rejections lately that have made me cry. Here's to hoping that I will find some reasons to celebrate, too. I know rejections are a part of the writer life but sometimes they hurt more than others. 2025 was a hard year of my life, and though; 2026 has been better thus far - it has still come with it's own share of hard.
I'm trying to find the light, but I feel like a little star trapped in a black hole. I hope I find my way back to space.
